Author Visit
It is not often that we get to have a real author of MANY books that we love come to our school. This is week is a special week that brings Helen Ketteman to our school. We’ve been busy reading Bubba the Cowboy Prince, Waynetta and the Cornstalk and Armadilly Chili to name a few. I can’t to get your comments on her books AND her visit!

I’ve done a little writing about the books I read this summer but I haven’t heard from many of you. I’d like to know what you read this summer. I’ll tell you that I’m looking forward to a new books that I’ve seen but we don’t have in our library yet. There is another book by Gail Carson Levine in the Disney Fairies series, a new book in the fantasy series Land of Elyon, and I even saw a new book by Jane Yolen – How Do Dinosaurs Go To School? I’ll get these as soon as I can but I need to know what you thought was good this summer. Did you find a book I haven’t heard of yet? Let me know!
Confessions of a Librarian
Earlier, I wrote that I only had 2 more Bluebonnet Books to read. Then August came and I decided that I would skip the last two books. I know, shame on me. Two weeks ago, I was in classes (yes, we have to keep learning too) and other librarians told me that I was really missing out on one of the two that I wasn’t planning on reading. They said it was really funny. So, I will be bringing those two books back home with me and reading them. You can ask me about them! Down Girl and Sit: On the Road is the one I was told about and I promise I will read the book about mummies too!
